Paint Guide & How to Apply

Before you start

Choose the Dura Paint range intended for your project and read the product label before use. Make sure the surface is suitable for the selected paint.

1. Prepare the surface

Surfaces should be clean, sound and free from loose or flaking material. Remove dust, dirt and contamination that could affect adhesion. Repair surface defects where appropriate and allow the surface to dry before painting.

2. Mix the paint

Stir the paint thoroughly before application and during use when necessary.

3. Apply evenly

Apply an even coat using a suitable brush or roller. Avoid overloading the applicator and work methodically for a consistent finish.

4. Assess the finish

Coverage and the number of coats required depend on the surface, colour change, application method and product. Follow the instructions on the product label for the paint you purchased.

5. Clean up

Clean equipment promptly after use in accordance with the product label. Keep paint securely closed when stored.

Important: This is a general application guide. Always follow the instructions and safety information supplied with the specific Dura Paint product.
